Harder moves facilities for Rügen Fisch
The plant relocation company Harder Logistics completed a major contract for the Sassnitz-based company Rügen Fisch within nine months. The work was carried out for the merger of the production sites of the Lübeck-based canned fish producer Hawesta and Rügen Fisch in Sassnitz.
It began with the dismantling and gutting of the part of the building in Sassnitz where one of the two production areas was located and which was to be converted into a packaging hall. Harder Logistics then relocated the packaging lines while production continued.
Finally, Harder Logistics moved a salad production line from Lübeck to Sassnitz and brought another production line, which had been temporarily stored, into the now upgraded plant. In total, the project involved the relocation of twelve production and packaging lines. (mk)
