Harder Logistics builds in Neu-Ulm

Project logistics specialist Harder Logistics has held the ground breaking ceremony for its new facility in the Riffelbank industrial park in Neu-Ulm (Germany).

The company sealed the purchase of the plot a month ago. The investment totals around EUR 7 million, including the fully automated multilevel container warehouse. The company Matthäi won the contract for a turnkey construction of the property.

The project was actually scheduled to start in spring 2020, but the plans were delayed by the corona pandemic. The property can accommodate up to 250 teu on an 850 sqm area, using just 10% of the existing space for the containers. Conventional storage solutions would require an area of 9,000 sqm.

Marcello Danieli, managing shareholder, and his son Johannes Danieli concluded: “Building upwards is an economic and eco-friendly alternative.” (sh)
