GXO wants to grow - in employees

GXO, the spin-off of XPO Logistics, has announced its strategy to extend its workforce by 22,000 team members by the end of 2022 to help its global warehouse operations keep pace with growing customer demand. The company requires more staff to run its new warehouses and deal with the increased workload during the peak holiday season.

Many of GXO’s seasonal staff members globally will extend their terms into January 2023 when the return of seasonal goods comes to a peak.

The company chose a global approach, planning to hire approximately 11,000 team members in UK, 4,000 in USA, 1,500 in France, 2,500 in Spain, 1,100 in Italy and 2,000 in the Netherlands, among others.

The portfolio ranges from salaried over hourly to contractor roles with flexible shift options as well as full-time and part-time positions. “Our hiring plans reflect a record year of customer growth,” commented Bill Fraine, GXO’s chief commercial officer. (sh)
