GW: eleventh hub in USA
Gebrüder Weiss is taking over the Salt Lake City (Utah)-based forwarding company Cargo-Link, thus adding the eleventh hub to its US network. Cargo-Link operates a 2,000 sqm logistics hub on a site close to the city’s international airport.
With this acquisition, the German logistics provider gains access to a strategically located site with 15 employees and expands its portfolio.
“With Cargo-Link's services, we are targeting the logistics needs of small and medium-sized companies. We will continue to develop Salt Lake City in our network as a starting point for worldwide air & sea transport with a focus on transpacific and transatlantic routes," says Lothar Thoma, member of the Gebrüder Weiss management board and head of the air & sea business unit.
