Growing demand on west-east axis
TX Logistik is expanding its intermodal connection between Germany and Romania. The rail logistics company, which is part of the Mercitalia Group, is increasing the number of round trips on the Cologne – Curtici link from five to seven per week as of 10 May.
With the higher frequency, TX Logistik is primarily responding to the growing interest of Romanian and Italian forwarders in services on the west-east axis.
The trains run between the CTS Container Terminal in Cologne-Niehl and the Trade Trans Terminal in Curtici, near the Hungarian border.
Up to 44 loading units fit on one train, which can carry semi-trailers and mega trailers as well as tank, bulk or 45-inch containers. (ben)
