Groupage network expands in Italy
The area around Rimini is home to various industries and many export-oriented businesses serving the furniture factories in the provinces of Fano and Pesar.
In this growing local economy on Italy’s Adriatic coast, the groupage network Dachser and Fercam Italia has opened a facility in Cattolica which complements the existing location in Cesena in the Emilia-Romagna region and offers direct connections to destinations nationwide. There is also a direct line to the Dachser site in Gersthofen near Augsburg (Germany) for transports within the rest of Europe.
The new logistics facility has 44 gates for loading and unloading trucks, and over 3,300 sqm for handling general cargo. The site is equipped with a 100 kWp photovoltaic system. (ben)
