Green power at port of Antwerp
Power to Hydrogen and Triple W are the first companies to sign up for Next Gen Demo, an innovation hub within the Next Gen District in the port of Antwerp. The area aims to become a hotspot for circular economy projects.
Power to Hydrogen will test a large-scale AEM electrolysis technology for affordable green hydrogen production, while Triple W will demonstrate an industrial process converting food waste into lactic acid for bioplastics and biochemicals.
In its press release, the port said that both projects, which are set to commence in Q4/2024, align with its ambitions to promote the energy transition and make a significant contribution to a climate-neutral society. (pb)
