Greater range for e-trucks
Germany's Rheintal-Transporte and Loop Energy are developing new solutions for heavy-duty battery electric trucks in Europe. Rheintal is looking to use Loop's 'eFlow' fuel cell modules to expand the trucks’ driving range to the levels required for its fleet of long-haul cold-chain logistics vehicles.
The forwarder anticipates orders for 'eFlow' fuel cell modules for more than 20 zero-emission hydrogen trucks over the next 24 months. Rheintal's evolution to hydrogen fuel-cell electric freight transport is aligned to its aim to enable emission-free transport deliveries before 2030. (ben)
