Girteka going super-green
Lithuania-based road specialist Girteka Logistics has chosen a brand-new design to illustrate its ongoing transformation. The group is a major carrier in Europe, transporting more than 960,000 full loads of cargo with almost 9,000 own trucks per year.
Edvardas Liachovičius, CEO of Girteka Holding, said that what counts are not only "commercial aspects of our activities, but also environmental and societal responsibilities and commitments to employee well-being." The company has therefore decided to change its brand in cooperation with Synthesis Consulting Group.
Girteka Logistics expressed its pride in being one of the first road haulage companies to be awarded the green carrier certificate by its partner DHL. (sh)
