Garbe building extension for Hellmann
Garbe Industrial Real Estate is adding a 5,500 sqm extension to its world cargo centre in Norderstedt (Germany). Another hall will be built on the airfreight handling site that is adjacent to Hamburg airport. The work is slated for completion in December 2019.
The expansion is being done on behalf of the facility’s tenant Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Air & Sea, which needs more space for its air and sea freight business. The extension will encompass around 3,100 sqm of hall space and 2,400 sqm of offices.
Jan Dietrich, Garbe’s managing director, stated: "The relatively large amount of office space is due to the special requirements of airfreight forwarding and is in line with that industry and location." (mw)
