G&W line now has a car inspector

Cathcart Rail in the USA became the running repair agent for car inspection and mechanical services in the 770 km network of the Portland & Western Railroad (PNWR) in Oregon, USA. The regional line PNWR, a part of G&W, was founded in 1995 and supports lumber, agricultural produce and fuels customers in the Willamette valley, from Eugene to Portland and the surrounding communities.

Cathcart will handle car inspection and repair defects at all of PNWR’s major Oregon yards. It currently operates the largest railcar services network, encompassing 18 repair facilities and over 75 field services locations, as well as a rail services division that operates three shortline railroads and a dozen switching and transloading sites.
