Fuel-efficient trucks for the UK

The English forwarder Boughey Distribution has signed a five-year deal for the supply of Volvo’s new generation FH model, which will be in production from April. The contract, worth around GBP 11 million (EUR 12.8 million), covers 127 vehicles over two years, with the first 25 units due to be delivered in May. A further 48 vehicles will be supplied by the end of this year.

Boughey will be one of the first companies in the UK to take delivery of the new model of Volvo’s 13 l, 460 bhp Euro 6 FH model. The forwarder placed the order for 127 Volvos after testing the truck for twelve months, focusing especially on fuel efficiency. The company last ran Volvos in 2010. (ben)
