Fuel cap alarm to scare off thieves
Add Secure is expanding its range of products with the introduction of a fuel cap solution to prevent fuel theft. The device is compatible with all types of heavy-duty vehicles and replaces the traditional fuel cap.
The new fuel cap contains opening sensors that are connected via Bluetooth to an external alarm with a volume of 125 db. An alarm is triggered if the fuel cap is opened while the vehicle's ignition is switched off or if the wiring is cut.
Simply equipping the truck with the special fuel cap has a preventive effect, Add Secure says. Thieves attempting to steal or sabotage the device are driven off by the alarm. (ben)
