Frozen food logistics: Stef acquires Transwest
Stef Group has signed an agreement for the acquisition of Transwest, aiming to provide a new value-creating offer for the supply chains of both companies' Belgian and international customers.
With a staff of over 200 employees, Transwest specialises in logistics services for frozen food products in Belgium. It is positioned at the heart of the Flemish food industry and brings many years of experience in cool chains.
A specialist for logistics services for fresh food products in Belgium, Stef Belgium employs 500 people. It operates five sites in Wallonia and Flanders, including a new centre that was opened in Tubize in April 2023. Completion of the acquisition is scheduled for the end of October 2023. (mk)
