Fourteen e-trucks for city logistics
DB Schenker has strengthened its e-fleet and put 14 new all-electric Volvo FL Electric vehicles into operation in its German network.
The vehicles, which have a range of up to 300 km, are used for pre- and onward carriage as well as city logistics. Regular services in local transport were preceded by successful test runs at several locations last year.
Now the Volvo FL Electric will be deployed in Saarbrücken, Dresden, Chemnitz, Crailsheim, Freilassing, Ludenscheid, Magdeburg, Munich, Schweinfurt, Berlin and Nuremberg. The use of electric vehicles for all its logistics services is one of the many measures with which DB Schenker is driving its decarbonisation forward. (ben)
