Foldable EUR exchange frame for pallets
The Austrian Federal Railways ÖBB, parent company of the Rail Cargo Group, has developed a foldable EUR exchange frame as a supplement to the Euro pallet. Although foldable stacking fr
ames already exist, there has been no uniform standard for them so far. The new product now closes this gap. The standardised frame fits onto Euro pallets measuring 800 x 1,200 mm. It has one important advantage over conventional rigid frames, ÖBB says, since it saves a lot of space when transported in empty wagons. (ben)
