Flexport chooses new staff for Europe
Digital freight forwarder Flexport has announced two changes in its European ocean team: Florian Braun (Photo) has been appointed new head of ocean EMEA, replacing Martin Holst Mikkelsen, who will be moving as head of ocean Asia to Singapore in January.
Braun has been working in the logistics sector for 14 years, seven of which in China. Most recently, he was responsible for digital ocean strategy as VP of the ocean 4.0 segment at DB Schenker. Before that, he was trade line manager in China for DHL. He will be based in Flexport's Hamburg branch.
In Hamburg, the company has also chosen Christoph Baumeister as local spokesman for the German market. Baumeister worked in trade lane management and sales at Kuehne & Nagel and MSC for more than 15 years and joined Flexport in September 2019. (amh)
