Five Vectrons for the Scandinavian corridor
Swedish carrier Green Cargo has signed a long-term lease agreement with Alpha Trains for five Vectron locomotives for the Scandinavian corridor.
With these new vehicles, Green Cargo is modernising its fleet and continuing to develop its international services from Malmö in the south of Sweden through Denmark to Germany and back. All Vectrons are equipped with ETCS.
The locomotives will be delivered in 2023. They are new to the market and Green Cargo is one of the first lessees. The locomotives are adapted for operation in Germany, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, and can operate at a speed of up to 200 km/h. (ben)
