Five new B777F on three new routes
Qatar Airways Cargo has announced a significant new order for five Boeing 777 freighters. Qatar Airways Group chief executive, His Excellency Akbar Al Baker (left, together with Kevin McAllister, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes), also revealed three new freighter routes. Hanoi (Vietnam) - Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago ORD (USA) - Singapore and Singapore – Los Angeles (USA) – Mexico City are in addition to the Macau – Los Angeles service launched six months ago.
Qatar Airways chief officer cargo Guillaume Halleux: "The addition of the five B777F will be beneficial for our customers’ business as we can offer them greater capacity and increased frequencies on high demand routes. The three new routes add to our expanding global network operated by one of the youngest and most modern fleets in the industry." (ah)
