First tenants for a hub in Thuringia
Garbe Industrial Real Estate has finished building a new 35,000 sqm logistics hub in Bollberg, Thuringia. Located in an industrial park, the EUR 46 million site features 31,000 sqm of hall space, 30 dock levellers and three ground-level gates for loading and unloading.
The hub is connected to Jena and Gera via the A4 with connections to other inter-city motorways. It provides infrastructure for e-vehicles, air heat pumps for heating and LED lighting. The site meets the sustainability requirements of the German BEG-40 standard, meaning it only requires 40% primary energy compared to a reference building.
Garbe has already handed the keys over to its first tenant, local logistics provider Kontinent Spedition. (mk)
