First SP A99 lithium battery shipment
Air Bridge Cargo Airlines (ABC), part of Volga-Dnepr Group and a global cargo carrier, has obtained approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for commercial transportation of lithium batteries over 35 kg which are commonly labelled as SP (special provision) A99.
The first commercial shipment of 113 kg was launched on 20 October 2021 from Shanghai Pudong Airport (China) to Frankfurt (Germany), for the Contemporary Amperex Technology Company, one of China's biggest LB manufacturers.
