First Ceiv Pharma certification in Puerto Rico
ETH Cargo Services (ETH Cargo) has become the first member of the Puerto Rico Life Sciences Air Cargo Community to achieve the international air transport association (Iata) Centre of Excellence for Independent Validators (Ceiv) Pharma certification.
Puerto Rico’s ministry of economic development and commerce (DDEC), which has supported the community since its launch last year, rallied for government funding to invest in Ceiv certifications in the community, securing an 80% subsidy for 8 organisations.
“The Ceiv Pharma certification is a guarantee that we handle our customers’ cargo in line with industry standards, ensuring that it arrives intact and avoiding any damage,” said Sascha Herzig, CEO ETH Cargo.
ETH Cargo will now participate in Ceiv training initiatives hosted by the community to support smaller companies in the life sciences hub in upholding Ceiv standards. (cj)
