Finished vehicles along new Silk Road
The automobile logistics provider Mosolf wants to transport finished vehicles by rail between Lodz (Poland) and Chengdu (China). The company plans to commence trial runs in H2/2019.
To carry out the tests, Mosolf has closed the first contracts for suitable premises along the route and founded its own local Chinese subsidiary.
The move is intended to establish the existing Chengdu-Euro express railway as a corridor for transporting finished vehicles. The Lodz – Chengdu rail link, which has been in service since 2013, passes through Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus. (ben)
