Fast railfreight solutions extended to Sweden
Effective immediately, VTG is extending its fast-track offer, which is already available at a range of other central locations, to the port of Gothenburg in Sweden.
On the port premises, a block train with twenty 80 ft container wagons and a loading capacity of 80 teu is ready for customers. Transport services can be booked online, 24/7.
Already today, about half of all container transports to and from the port of Gothenburg are operated by train. The VTG fast-track service now offers additional solutions for short-haul journeys or order peaks, with rail transport as a climate friendly alternative to the trucks generally deployed for these assignments.
