Farewell to a great Spanish forwarder
Spanish logistics provider Transnatur is mourning the death of its founder, who passed away on 14 January 2022 at the age of 84. José Pagés Riera will be remembered by the industry in Spain as well as beyond the country’s borders for his creativity and his great entrepreneurial sense.
Transnatur was founded in 1967 (and not 1979, as mentioned on p. 4 of today's ITJ 09-10/2022), with three people operating from an office in Barcelona’s old town. Today it is one of the largest family-owned companies in the country, with around 700 employees working at 14 sites in Spain and Portugal.
