Expanding into Hungary and Romania
In Poland the company A. Hartrodt has invested in building up its own fleet. Since October the forwarder has handled pan-European road transports with its Szczecin-based national company and the first of its own Polish trucks, initially from Poland to Italy, Germany and Belgium.
The new line of business has got off to a good start and is enjoying increasing demand. Thus the company, founded in Hamburg (Germany) in 1887, is already planning the next stage of expansion. From 2024 onwards A. Hartrodt will also serve Hungary and later Romania with its own trucks. To this end, 100 trucks that go easier on the environment are to be purchased for the Polish branch by 2027. (ben)
