Expanding at JFK airport
Kuehne + Nagel’s facility at the JFK International Airport has seen a major expansion with the addition of temperature-controlled areas and more warehouse space, strengthening the logistics provider’s capabilities at the airport.
The company has enlarged an existing space of 7,317 sqm with two new areas designed for temperature-controlled storage. These spaces, totalling 418 sqm, can adapt to temperature regulations from +2°C to °25°C. They will support Kuehne + Nagel in its Health Chain certification and allow for better service in healthcare and perishable operations.
Another 929 sqm have been added as warehousing space, with other extensions in office and other spaces. This site is particularly important given its proximity to JFK airport and air transport routes. It features 20 loading and unloading gates and allows for 24/7 operations. (mk)
