Eurosib buys 400 new container platforms
The Russia-based private rail operator Eurosib – Transport Systems and the United Wagon Company (UWC) have signed a contract for the production and supply of 400 new generation container platforms. They will be delivered to the railway operator on a monthly basis between June 2019 and February 2020. The two companies are long-time partners.
Eurosib purchased 285 platforms from UWC in 2017, and ordered 500 platforms in 2018, with the delivery expected to be completed by May 2019.
Eurosib owns a diversified fleet of rolling stock, including 13,800 cars and four locomotives and operates its own transport and logistics centre in Novosibirsk. (ben)
