European hinterland network grows
The container shipping company Ocean Network Express (ONE) has expanded its extensive green rail transport network.
In addition to its eco-friendly rail services via Germany’s northern seaports of Hamburg and Bremerhaven to many European hinterland terminals, ONE recently launched new green links to Dortmund in Germany and Basel in Switzerland.
By partnering with the green TF Geco train product, operated by German rail operator TFG Transfracht, ONE has taken another step to emphasise the liner’s green aspirations to minimise any adverse impact of their scope 3 inland transport activities. TF Geco train uses renewable energies to provide all the necessary electricity for its rail transport services. (ben)
