EUR 1 million investment in Dortmund
The Dortmunder Eisenbahn, a company belonging to Captrain Deutschland and the Dortmunder Hafen, has opened a new building with changing and washing rooms and social areas. The “Waschkaue” or washing facility has space for more than 130 employees. It is also open to the staff of the company DE Infrastruktur.
An investment of more than EUR 1 million was budgeted for the new 423 sqm building that complies with the latest energy and environmental standards.
Founded in 1899, the railway company is jointly owned by Captrain Deutschland and the Dortmunder Hafen. Its core business includes the design and implementation of rail-based factory logistics for the iron and steel industry. (ben)
