ERS Rail augments intermodal service
Eastern Bavaria, a dynamically developing industrial region in Germany, received a direct connection to overseas destinations a few days ago thanks to ERS Rail. The company expanded its seaport hinterland network for container rail transport in Germany and introduced a new shuttle train between Bremerhaven and Regensburg. Companies around Regensburg and in neighbouring Czechia particularly stand to benefit from the new service which is available four times per week in each direction.
ERS Rail added that it provides a full container handling service and that transit times (A-B/C) are attractive. The new offer consolidates ERS Rail’s network between the North Sea ports and the Bavarian region. ERS Rail was founded in 1994 and has been part of the Swiss Hupac Group since 2018. (ben)
