Enlargement projects at Port of Barcelona
The Port of Barcelona is taking an important step forward with the launch of the tender for the connection between the Energy and Adossat wharves and the electrification project.
With a budget of EUR 15 million (VAT excluded) and an execution period of 28 months, seven underground conduits will be built to connect the Energy and Adossat wharves, the Port of Barcelona's board of directors announced.
In 28 months, conduits will be built to cross the 700 m long navigation channel, passing at a depth of 32 m below sea level. With this project, the service networks will be enlarged, especially the electricity supply, to provide sufficient power to the ships connected while at berth. (lh)
