Electric trucks for urban traffic
Volvo Trucks has begun to sell its electric trucks Volvo FL and Volvo FE in Sweden, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands. The two electric vehicle models were developed in Gothenburg (Sweden) in close cooperation with selected customers. Serial production is planned for March 2020.
The manufacturer points out that, in addition to reducing the impact on the environment, electric trucks have more advantages in urban areas. For example, they do not produce exhaust emissions and make less noise. Therefore, the trucks can also deliver and pick up goods in the early mornings, late evenings or even overnight. (ben)
