E-vehicle extends green fleet
Arla has acquired a new electric truck from Scania for its daily deliveries. Since early April, the electric distribution truck has been making daily deliveries of Arla products from its city dairy to certain stores in Stockholm’s inner city.
With three axles and a battery power of 300 kWh, the truck can drive quietly for up to 150 km on one charge, making it ideal for intensive urban assignments.
The Swedish dairy giant intends to use the new electric truck in order to improve air quality and ensure quieter transports in densely populated areas. Arla has been carrying out its own heavy transports in Sweden fossil-free since 2018. (ben)
