DP World's UK expansion
On over 55,500 sqm DP World has opened its largest ever warehouse in Coventry, as part of a GBP 50 million investment into its UK network, which also includes boosting its sites at Bicester and Burton upon Trent.
The logistics provider’s newest addition features a fully automated case retrieval system and has been built according to the Breeam ‘Excellent’ standard. The aim is to improve the company’s supply chain offering in the UK and support customers to stay competitive.
DP World built the UK’s largest music and video distribution warehouse in Bicester last year. Now, with the centre in Coventry and the upcoming opening of a fourth berth at its hub in London Gateway, the company is looking to further strengthen its presence in the country. (mk)
