DHL launches pharma hub in Singapore
DHL Supply Chain has reported its launch of a new 8,200 sqm pharma hub in Singapore, to strengthen its life sciences and healthcare logistics capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region.
The new facility is a part of the DHL Group’s EUR 500 million regional investment, and offers temperature-controlled storage, GMP-compliant operations and connectivity to Changi airport and the Tuas mega-port.
It was designed to support the rising demand for medical logistics and to this end features ambient and cold room zones, airtight docks and plans for value-adding services for pharmaceutical products. The pharma hub underlines DHL’s commitment to healthcare logistics as outlined in its ‘Strategy 2030’, which will “drive cross-divisional growth,” the company said. (js)
