DHL acquires Turkish logistics provider
DHL Group has completed the acquisition of Turkish parcel services provider MNG Kargo. "MNG Kargo's expertise in parcel courier services, combined with its extensive domestic network, will help us expand our service offering in Turkey and further enhance our already strong cross-border parcel network," said Pablo Ciano, CEO DHL eCommerce.
The new parcel network includes 27 sorting centres for middle-mile transport and more than 800 centres for last-mile delivery.
Mainly driven by a young population with an affinity for digital communication, the e-commerce market in Turkey is expected to grow at double-digit rates in the coming years. DHL eCommerce’s digital expertise and MNG Kargo’s local presence enable DHL Group to benefit from this development. (mk)
