Delivery volumes increase after expansion
Envirotainer’s temperature-controlled business is growing: The company transported 744 million doses of medicines or 272,000 pallets around the world in 2022, which represents a 24% uptick compared to 2021.
This rise in volume follows the cold chain solutions specialist’s expansion of its production site in Rosersberg, just north of Stockholm, in November 2022. The investment will allow Envirotainer to grow its current fleet of 7,500 Federal Aviation Administration and European Union Aviation Safety Agency certified containers by another 1,300 in 2023.
The Envirotainer fleet covers more than 2,000 pharmaceutical trade lanes in over 100 countries and 300 airports. The company also supports cryogenic -70°C dry ice shipping for products such as clinical trials, vaccines, diagnostics biospecimen with its Cryosure product line. (ben)
