Dachser expands Iberian footprint
EUR 14 million to boost logistics capacities in Spain – Dachser is strengthening its position on the Iberian Peninsula with a new warehouse and office complex covering 12,000 sqm in the northeastern city of Saragossa.
Building on its 75,000 sqm plot with an existing hub, the company plans to add more storage and loading ramps. Overall, 100 new ramps will be added for different truck types, including heavy units, as well as parking for the fleet and swap bodies. A sorting system and advanced number-plate-recognition technologies are further set to increase productivity at the site.
Based in Saragossa, Dachser’s Spanish operations connect to France, Germany and Italy, making it a key point in the company’s network. Another 100 employees are set to join the local team of 400 in the next three years. (mk)
