Croatian manufacturer modernises Slovakian locos
The Slovakian railfreight operator ZSSK Cargo plans to modernise ten more 742.6 series locomotives, which are a complete upgrade of 742 series locomotives to the Effi Shunter 1000M type with the Czech manufacturer CZ Loko.
Only the frame and the undercarriage of the original locomotives have been retained, all other parts of the locomotive are new.
ZSSK Cargo will deliver the locomotives to the manufacturer at a cadence of one per month, and the manufacturer will have one year to upgrade each locomotive. Most of the locomotives will be refurbished at the Croatian TZV Gredelj. (ben)
