Creating high-precision AGVs
Using Kollmorgen technology, the Chinese chemical company Heli has introduced automated guided vehicles (AGVs) that can carry 3 t-pallets of soft bags. The specialised AGVs are in service at the company’s site in Xinxiang, moving pallets of soft bags with fertilisers within the warehouse.
Kollmorgen NDC Solutions have been installed for order routing, traffic management, navigation, and control. The AGVs also had to be equipped with high precision fork sensors to enable safe loading and unloading. With the Kollmorgen technology, the company can now achieve 24-hour operation, higher efficiency, and consistency, cutting costs by 60%.
