Cosco & BP forge new strategic paths
Cosco Shipping and BP have signed an MOU to leverage the strengths of both entities, enhance synergies, and explore new avenues of collaboration.
The strategic partnership involves expanding the use of Castrol marine lubricants, the transport of hydrocarbons, offshore construction, as well as potential collaboration in methanol deliveries for bunkering and offshore wind supply chain development.
The signing was witnessed by William Lin, BP group executive vice president, and Lin Ji, executive vice president of Cosco Shipping, with Simon Yang of BP and Chen Wei of Cosco Shipping formalising the agreement.
The MOU builds on the long-standing relationship between BP and Cosco Shipping, encompassing transportation of energy products, offshore equipment manufacturing services, and the provision of marine fuels and lubricants. (pb)
