Cora contracts logistics partner
Cora, a European-wide retail group of hypermarkets of Belgian origin located in France, has chosen Kuehne+Nagel as its logistics partner in Belgium and Luxembourg. The linchpin of the partnership is a dedicated 30,000 sqm distribution centre in Heppignies, a village close to Charleroi in the Belgian province of Hainaut.
The place serves as a delivery hub for all the company’s Belgian and Luxembourg hypermarkets and as an e-commerce platform for the Cora wine business.
A part of the logistics process is based on the experience that, with the pandemic, shoppers' habits have changed and people visit supermarkets and hypermarkets more often. Online orders are booming and pick up station services are becoming more popular. (sh)
