Coordinating mail deliveries in Qatar
Qatar Airways Cargo is linking up with Qatar Post as part of a partnership involving mail transport in and out of the country. In an agreement signed last week, the companies announced their plans to adapt to requirements in the postal market, enhance logistics infrastructure and improve the delivery of shipments.
The deal also includes competitive rates for post transported by Qatar Airways Cargo to Qatar Post. The former’s handling capacity of 500 t per day can thus be combined with the latter’s postal network in Qatar, which features 100% EDI booking integration and a central hub for operations.
“This strategic cooperation agreement reflects our commitment to improving logistic infrastructure and ensuring a smooth and effective coordination in delivery to and from Doha,” says Qatar Airways group CEO, Badr Mohammed Al-Meer. (mk)
