CMX calls at Manzanillo
Contecon Manzanillo (CMSA), which operates the second specialised container terminal (TEC-II) at the Port of Manzanillo in Mexico, recently welcomed the first vessel of BAL Container Line’s China – Mexico (CMX) service.
The “S Santiago” has a capacity of 5,060 teu and is one of the eight boxships operating the service. The eight vessels have a combined capacity of more than 31,000 teu.
The terminal, the local affiliate of International Container Terminal Services (ICTSI), runs on a 34-year concession signed in June 2010. (sh)
