CMA CGM teaching 50,000 containers to talk
The Marseille (France)-based CMA CGM Group has placed an order for 50,000 trackers from the smart container creator Traxens. A shareholder and the first company to invest in Traxens in 2012, CMA CGM participated in the tracking systems’ development and introduced them commercially in 2018.
By ordering 50,000 trackers, CMA CGM is underscoring its strategy to equip its container fleet with the tracking solution.
The Traxens directional finder will be attached to a container and provide data in real time about the container’s position at sea and on land, as well as vibration intensity, external temperature variations and the opening and closing of the doors. (kd)
