CMA CGM Air Cargo with AI-based load planning
CMA CGM Air Cargo has enhanced its global operations by introducing Champ Cargosystems’ AI-based ‘Cargospot Weight & Balance’ solution.
The system allows loadmasters to create fuel-optimised, safe load plans within seconds through the ‘autoload’ feature, cutting manual planning times. It improves operational safety, reduces fuel burn and supports environmental goals.
The implementation follows CMA CGM Air Cargo’s adoption of various Champ solutions, including ‘Cargospot Airline’ and ‘Traxon CargoHub’. Khaled Chamsuddine, product manager at Champ, emphasised that the solution not only boosts efficiency but also helps carriers meet growing sustainability targets. David Linford, vice-president for sales, added that the technology is particularly suited to freighter operations. (ah)
