Changi airport presents 2023 awards
The Changi Airport Group (CAG) celebrated a year of strong air traffic recovery and the revival of air travel with its 2023 Changi Airline Awards, held at Singapore’s Shangri-La hotel. The annual event was attended by more than 150 representatives from 70 airlines.
2022’s top five Airlines by cargo carriage are Singapore Airlines, FedEx Express, China Airlines, Aerologic and Scoot. SIA’s cargo partnership with DHL Express also helped to reinforce Singapore’s status as a key airfreight and e-commerce logistics hub.
Since August 2022 SIA has operated DHL Express Boeing B777 freighters to the USA via points in north Asia. This is the first time Changi received delivery of a home-based freighter aircraft in more than a decade. (cj)
