Change in the cockpit of Zurich Airport
CEO Stephan Widrig has decided to take on new challenges outside the company and will be leaving Flughafen Zürich, the operator of Zurich Airport, at the end of April 2023.
Widrig worked for the company for 23 years in various roles, including 15 years on the management board and eight years as CEO. The board of directors will now begin the process to find his successor.
Widrig joined Flughafen Zürich in 1999. He was part of the team to privatise the airport and then progressed steadily within the organisation. From May 2023, he will be CEO of Allreal Holding, one of the largest listed real estate companies in Switzerland. (cj)
