CGN pulls out all the stops
Cologne Bonn Airport confirmed its position as one of the major cargo locations in Germany and Europe last year, achieving a cargo volume of 870,000 t. This figure was not as high as in 2022 (971,000 t) in the German market and also in Cologne/Bonn, primarily due to the difficult economic conditions worldwide and the current wars and crises, which also had a negative impact on the global air cargo market.
The airport once again performed well in this challenging market environment. With an increase of 7%, it was well above the 2019 level (815,000 t) and also above the general market average.
In the cargo business, the airport anticipates a moderate increase in volume to 885,000 t even if the global economy remains week. (cj)
